Bribery, Fraud, and Corruption Policy
Intent
Rapid Aid Corp. has adopted this policy to promote the ongoing success of our organization, and to protect employees, vendors, customers, and the company from any illegal or damaging behaviour. This policy ensures that all company employees refrain from bribery, fraudulent activity, and corruption, and are prepared to identify and report these activities appropriately. Rapid Aid Corp. expects its business partners, agents, vendors, customers and any other third-party service providers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with this policy.
Definitions
Bribery: The act of giving or taking money or favour to influence a person’s judgement
or conduct.
Corruption: Wrongdoing induced by dishonest or illegal behaviour.
Fraud: Intentional deception to induce another to part with something of value.
Guidelines
All instances of bribery, fraud, and corruption are strictly prohibited. Rapid Aid Corp. supports all employees in developing and promoting a culture of ethical and legal compliance free from these activities.
Bribery, Fraud, and Corruption Response Plan
If any Rapid Aid Corp. employee encounters or suspects bribery, fraudulent activity, or corruption, they must report immediately to Human Resources. The report will be investigated and an interview process conducted as soon as possible. The company ensures all employees involved are protected from reprisal. If bribery, fraud, or corruption is established, the company will apply disciplinary actions up to and including termination of employment and/or contract, and will report to the appropriate authorities. Confidentiality will be maintained as much as possible throughout this process, although some information may need to be shared with external parties as part of a criminal investigation.
Anyone found to have submitted a purposely false or malicious report of bribery, fraud, or corruption will be subject to progressive discipline up to and including termination.
Expectations and Responsibilities
Rapid Aid Corp. Management
Members of Rapid Aid Corp. management are expected to set an example of professional conduct, showing honesty and integrity in all business dealings and never participating in bribery, fraud, or corruption. All members of management are expected to be available to receive complaints related to this policy at all times, allowing for the free discussion of suggestions and concerns from employees. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed as soon as there is suspicion that one may exist. Violations of this policy and any suspected acts of bribery, fraud, or corruption must also be reported to Human Resources immediately.
Employees
All employees are expected to work together to uphold this policy and promote a workplace built on trust, accountability, and openness that is free from bribery, fraud, and corruption. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed as soon as there is suspicion that one may exist. Violations of this policy and any suspected acts of bribery, fraud, or corruption must be reported to Human Resources immediately.
Violations
Rapid Aid Corp. will not tolerate any wrongdoing or impropriety related to this policy and will immediately take the appropriate disciplinary actions to correct the problem. Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary measures that reflect the severity of the offence up to and including termination of employment and criminal charges.
